NOA2 or Second Notice of Action

In about 4 to 6 months, the petitioner will receive the second Notice of Action or the famously known as NOA2 in the Visa world :P It is one of the most talked about in forums like Visa Journey because once you get it, you can then move on to getting your medical exam and interview schedule done!

The letter states that your petition has been approved and that it has been sent to NVC. So starting at this point, the NVC is the one that’s taking care of your petition. It is very frustrating when you think about waiting for it for a long time and getting it is like winning a lottery! :D Some get it in a month, some in a year so patience is really very important. In our case, we got the NOA2 on January 31st 2011, exactly 5 months after our NOA1 was received. Click the photo above to see how NOA2 looks like.

If you register for automatic case status updates by email and text message through this USCIS link, you will receive the NOA2 earlier because getting the hard copy will take a few days by mail. At this time, your case will then be forwarded to the NVC or National Visa Center. If your fiance haven’t completed the requirements yet, it is best to tell him or her to prepare the documentary requirements already for the upcoming interview because after the NOA2, things will really happen so fast! :) Also, if you can’t wait for the letter that your alien fiance should receive, call NVC after about 2 weeks at 603 334-0700 to know about your Case Number. You can tell your fiance about your case number so that he or she can start with the medical exam and interview schedule. Good luck! It’s getting closer now! :D

    hello mam its me again.ask lang po me ulit mam.about po dun sa DS 156.anu po ilalagay ko dun sa How long do you intend to stay in the US?tapos po what date po ang ilalagay ko dun po sa second page sa ibaba ng DS 156 form po mam?and lastly mam need ko po bang ipa-photocopy din po un NOA1,NOA2,at un pong iba pang evidence of support po mam?hehe cenxa po mejo dami ng tanung ko po mam.thanks in advance mam.take care always and GODBLESS

      Hello, on the DS 156 form, I put permanently. Yun ba yung date kung san ka pipirma? I suggest lagay mo if malapit ka na sa interview. Anyway, lagay nlng din ako ng samples dito ng forms later. Yes, paphotocopy mo na rin but di naman sila need. yung evidence of support like tax, employment, I suggest original.

    hi mam.ask ko lang po kung gnun po ba talaga katagal bago dumating un NVC letter po?natanggap po namin un NOA2 last April 30 po.until now la pa po NVC letter mam.anu po kaya ang maganda naming gawin mam?para po sana mapadala niya na un mga dapat niyang isend sa akin po.cenxa na po ulit mam.thanks po and ingat po palagi.

      sa akin 23 days, usually 1 to 4 weeks daw. you can have your fiance call nvc, get your case number if its already available, then schedule your interview and pwede ka na rin magmedical. :)

    hi mam.nareceived ko na po un embassy letter ko.saying that i am eligeble to be scheduled for a visa interview.pero po need ko po muna pay before schedule po ang medical exam po and interview.tanung ko lang po,hanggang kelan po ang date ng pagbabayad po?please reply mam.thanks po and Godbless po

      no need… sino me sabi sayo? diba nakatanggap ka na ng letter from embassy about sa instructions? nakalagay din dun lahat ng requirements and kung ilang copies :)

        un nga po mam ang sabi ko poeh.sabi ko di ki naman po nabasa un sa requirements na nakalagay sa letter na natanggap ko po.mam clarify ko lang po ulit ang nilagay ko po sa DS157 question 17 po ay ung kung saan at kelan me nag aral ng high school at elementary po mam.cenxa na mam ha.di ko po malaman if san po ang sinagot niyo na “YES”.heheingats po palagi mam and GODBLESS po
