I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the normal availability for interviews is…….meaning, if we have everything already…..only need to do the Vias application online and pay the fee, what are the chances of getting an interview appointment in Manila within a 2 or 3 week time frame. Seeing that all the documentation is done by our lawyer, all my fiancee needs is he physical (should be fine) and the interview. She has already attended th CFO and only needs to interview and get the passport and visa back to get the sticker? My main question, will we need to wait days, weeks or months to get the actual interview??? Please tell me a few weeks……..I pray.

Hi Rich, thanks for dropping by. The interview date really depends on the availability but it won’t take too long. As far as I can remember, they will only give you an appointment slots within 2 months. I mean, for example in my case when I scheduled for my interview on May, they’ve given me available slots for that month and June 2011. So if you have everything done already, you’ll most likely get an appointment date this Feb or March :) Good luck and God bless your journey. :)

    Hi,
My Fiance is filling out the DS 156 form. She worked as a nurse and contracted TB…. she was treated and cleared by her doctor.. Q 38 asks about communicable diseases. Should she check yes? If so, what should she expect? Will the K1 visa be denied?

    Thanks

Hi Steve, i believe she should check yes. Is she done with her medical exam already? If not, she should take her exam as soon as. Coz as far as i know, she would be asked to get sputum test which will take a while. Might as well bring her medical record too..And no, it wont mean denial so no worries about that :)

hi lley, i dont think you need to quit your job. although youll be required to get a police clearance from malaysia for the interview if you stay there for more than 6 months. you can still work there of course. here are the steps, http://k1visaguru.com/k1-visa-step-by-step hope it will you. :)
